The Mission of TOMF
The mission of the Tim Orth Memorial Foundation is to assist, financially or otherwise, children (birth to age 18) in the West Central Minnesota area who are facing substantial medical expenses incurred as a result of a serious accident or illness. Since 1996, TOMF has raised over four million dollars and helped hundreds of kids who are dealing with illness or injury.
Inspired by Tim
In Tim’s memory, hundreds of families have received financial assistance for children who are fighting to overcome difficult challenges brought on by illness or accident. These challenges include complications due to cancer, brain injury, automobile accidents, premature birth and numerous other diagnoses we cannot even pronounce. The financial assistance, as well as the emotional support given, is helping to reduce the daily challenges these kids and their families must endure. How TOMF Helps Kids
Financial assistance for families in need has helped with medical equipment or expenses that are not covered by insurance or other means. The expenses eligible can range from medical treatment, therapy equipment or home upgrades based on each child’s individual needs.
TOMF Volunteers
The Tim Orth Memorial Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit all-volunteer organization, led by a Board of Directors. TOMF sponsors multiple fundraisers throughout West Central Minnesota each year. The volunteers invest countless hours organizing, soliciting and conducting events. Because of this, there are no administrative costs; ensuring that 100% of the proceeds are used to help the selected recipients. Funds are raised through annual “Jam the Gym” events in Hector, Glencoe, and Winthrop, as well as other fundraising events, and generous donations from businesses and individuals throughout the year.
