Here are comments from just a few of the families that the Tim Orth Memorial Foundation has helped. We are proud to have worked together with our volunteers and local communities to make a difference for these kids and their families.
“In the spring of 2005 our son Peter Grahn represented Willmar High as a player at the Bird Island Jamboree. Five months later Peter suffered a spinal cord injury in a diving accident that left him a quadriplegic and a recipient at the 2006 TOMF jamboree. Although Peter’s physical abilities are very limited, with the help of the TOMF and numerous other friends and support, Peter has made great strides in his life. DR. Peter Grahn is now married and has a wonderful family, wife Kelsey, and children Zoey and Rykon along with recently attaining his PHD in neuro-engineering and is now working on spinal cord research at Mayo Clinic In Rochester, MN.

“Not only did the financial support help with gas and medical bills, but the lessons modeled by those on the TOMF board has great impact. We all face challenges, but the greatest gift is to give of ourselves. Thank you for all the support.”

“The foundation has surrounded our family with other families who are in a similar situation, yet remain extremely positive and upbeat. We have been able to meet some wonderful individuals and realize how many amazingly generous and kind people there are in the world. Among other things the Tim Orth Memorial Foundation has eased the emotional burden and allowed us to move forward.”

“When Jordan was facing her most difficult treatments for leukemia, we were able to feel the love and support of our surrounding communities. The Foundation gave us not only financial support, but also made the journey a little less scary, a little less overwhelming. We appreciate all of the volunteers and all of the work they do in the lives of children who are hurting.”
–Jordan’s Parents (Jason and Jennifer)
“What a Blessing! A shining light of love and hope and encouragement so we can carry on with the journey ahead of us. Being recipients is amazing! Our needs have been met above and beyond what we even realized we needed. Angels on Earth!”
–Zac & Ella’s parents (James & Susan)

“It takes a lot of financial stress off of us knowing we are getting help paying for expenses. It has also been a wonderful support knowing so many people care for us and are lifting our son in prayer.”
–Grant’s Parents (Kyle & Jackie)
“Through the Tim Orth Memorial Foundation we have connected with families who also have gone through different times. The financial assistance from the foundation has greatly reduced the stress during our struggle.”

“When we were asked the first time about our medical needs for the kids, I was unsure what was a need and what I THOUGHT was a need. What can TOMF do for us? I remember thinking…you did it!! You gave me a night I didn’t have to be so brave. You gave us a room of love and support when we were lost and scared. You gave us a memory that will never leave my heart. You did it!! TOMF gave us Jam the Gym 2008 ~ what can you do for us ~ YOU did it!!!!”
